Today, Fettercairn distillery produces light, balanced whiskies, the only official bottling being a twelve year-old which replaced the previous then year-old. There are just a handful of independent bottlings. Fettercairn is at present under Whyte and Mackay ownership following purchase in the 1970s.

Fettercairn FIOR

A handsome, smartly packaged Fettercairn. Fior is Gaelic for "true", and the whisky has an astonishingly rich flavour of cocoa, espresso, spices, fruit and almond. We love it. It was released in Summer 2010 as part of the distillery's rebranding process, which is positioning them into the premium market.

Fettercairn 40 Years Old

An ambitious 40yo for the relaunched Fettercairn single malt, just 463 bottles of this have been produced. Aged in Apostoles palo cortado sherry casks, the 1969 'offers thick chunky orange rind, cinnamon and spice...crushed almonds, ginger and bitter chocolate'.
